London Triathlon, Sunday 07 August 2022
Now in its 23rd year, thousands of people come to London to join the community of incredible triathletes taking on the challenge of the London Triathlon 2022.
Road closures
On Sunday 8th August there wil be significant road closures in central and east London including:
Southwark Bridge and Tower Bridge will be closed to through traffic, although there will be access from south of the river for local residents
Victoria Embankment, Upper Thames Street, Lower Thames Street and Byward Street to Tower Hill will be closed from 05:00 to 12:00
The Highway, Limehouse Link Tunnel, Aspen Way and East India Dock tunnel will be closed from 05:00 to 14.00
Access to Wapping
Crossing the Highway for cars will be possible via timed gates at Vaughan Way and Glamis Rd until 7.00 and again after 11.45.
Pedestrian crossing will be available via the underpass at Glamis Rd and some timed gates.
Exiting Wapping via car will remain open throughout the event via Vaughan Way turning west onto East Smithfield and then southbound on Tower Bridge as per the below map:
